Unfortunately, due to Saruh’s busy-ness with raking in the dough, she has to withdraw a bit from the zine and won’t be as active with it.
Bitch Fit is idling hardcore right now, but I definitely want to keep doing issues, so if any zinesters have cool ideas for a zine, think of BF as your clean slate.

Reformatting

We’re working on the next issue (or, getting ideas down) and we’re going to change up the format some. Feminist theory is rad stuff, but maybe it’s not right for a periodical? We don’t want to make the zine drab and filled with not-fun. This issue is going to focus more on DIY projects, complemented by more cool featured art, and stuff we haven’t even figured out yet! Tense stuff, tense stuff indeed!

I'm terribly late, but would it still be possible for me to send you my address for a copy of the zine you just sent out for October/November? It's been a week since that post so I doubt this is possible (obviously never done this before, hah), so since I'm assuming you don't have extra copies or anything, lemme just make sure this is correct... I send you my address for the next issue in the submission link, right? lol.

The zine is all worked out and we’ll be printing it up tomorrow, and hopefully the majority will be sent out by Saturday. If you want to change how many you want or anything of that nature, please tell us now so we can adjust accordingly!

First Issue Updates and Other Goodies

Our first issue is more or less completely done (with the exception of minor editing we need to finish), and should be printed some time this month.
At Slut Walk New York, a lot of buttons with feminist slogans and imagery were given away by Autumn - separate from the zine - and we’ll be attaching the remainder of those to the zine’s first issue, the ones we have left of course.
Long and Short: The zine is almost done, we’re really excited and some cool stuff is on the way along with it!

Our zine is going to be one which features an artist or art piece in each issue. Therefore, we need artists to submit their work! If you think you’d like your art to be in the zine, submit some of it, along with a bit about yourself, and we’ll try and squeeze you into this upcoming issue, or another (regardless, you’ll probably get into one, don’t worry). The only criterion your art has to meet is that it has to be feminism-oriented (this includes any sort of rights campaigns, not just women’s rights), or art you made to reflect on oppression.
We also need an artist to design a cover image of some sort for us. Same thing applies; if you would be up for it, just submit a staple of your work, and we’ll talk from there.

Bitch Fit is a collection of feminist writing, artwork and music presented in the form of a bimonthly zine. Bitch Fit plans to cover topics spanning from rape culture and grrrl hate to the state of the modern feminist movement and DIY feminist punk.
This blog will mainly used as a place where people who wish to get our zine can go and put their address, as well as a place to answer questions. We’ll also post a table of contents for each publication.
The first publication will be released some time around late October or early November. If you’d like a copy, submit your address and we’ll send it to you when the time comes. We don’t have any sort of payment required as of now, but we may implement one in the future, just so that we’re compensated for things like paper, ink, etc.
Bitch Fit is a trans-positive and body-positive zine.
